John L. Miller

John L. Miller, Deer Creek Twp., Cochranton passed away at his residence on Monday, June 5th, 2017. He was 72.

He was born in Mercer County, PA on July 18, 1944 a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Sommers) Miller. On June 8, 1968 he married Sara Miller who survives.

John had worked on his family’s dairy farm for 21 years and was also a salesman for Animal Medic, in addition to his employment at Door World, Hadley from 1999-2012 from which he retired. John was a long-time fan and spectator of Cochranton High School sports. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and doing yard work with his wife, as well as spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Sara, he is survived by three children, Renae Buchanan and husband Shawn of Zanesville, Ohio, Bryan Miller and wife Amanda of Cochranton and Derek Miller and wife Pam of Cochranton. A sister, Sarah Miller and husband Jerry of North Canon and a brother, Henry Miller and wife Mary Ellen of Cochranton, and 9 grandchildren, Garrett, Nathan, Carson, Katy, Drew, Lexi, Dustin, Addison and Alivia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00am at the Cochranton Community Church with Pastor Stephen Clulow officiating with Jesse McCullough assisting. Friends may call at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., on Wednesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am.
