Ila Mae (Gregory) McElroy

Ila Mae McElroy, a lifelong resident of the Meadville area passed away at 11:35 
She was born in Meadville on February 17, 1922 a daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Morris) Gregory.  She had been married to Robert McElroy who preceded her in death.   She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking.   While living in Meadville, Ila Mae enjoyed strolls around the town where she would make many acquaintances.  In her early years, she enjoyed polka and having a good time through out her life.

She is survived by her eight children, her siblings, Leora Shartle and Herb Gregory.

With her passing, Ila Mae is now reunited with her parents, her husband, 4 brothers, Floyd Gregory, Donald Gregory, Merritt Gregory and Corky Gregory and a sister Amy Pelley.

The funeral and committal service will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Rev. David Anderson, chaplain of the Sharon Regional Hospice officiating.  Cremation has been selected as final disposition.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and are may share memories and condolences online at www.snyderfh.com
