Donna Maurine (Osborne) Johnston

Donna Maurine Johnston, age 80 of 110 Fredonia Road, passed away Saturday morning, December 24, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Hempfield Twp. PA on May 29, 1936 a daughter to Thomas C. and Hallie M. (Filson) Osborne.  She was a 1954 graduate of the former Fredonia High School, she worked at Packard Electric following her graduation.  After having raised her five sons, she had worked for several years at Wendy’s in Hermitage.

She was saved by the completed work of the cross by her Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of the Body of Christ.  She attended the Worldwide Church of God and Word of God Christian Fellowship, Youngstown, Ohio for nearly 55 years where she loved to volunteer and travel with her countless number of church friends.

She is survived by five sons, Daniel and Diana Johnston of Greenville, Douglas Johnston of Clarks Mills, David Johnston of Reynolds, Darrin and Lindsay Johnston of Gamaliel, Ky., Dale and Diane Johnston of Mercer; two brothers, Leland Osborne of Greenville, H. Thomas Osborne and his wife Barb of Albion and one sister Jessie Gearhart and her husband Ed of Greenville; 5 grandchildren, Morganne Johnston, Johnny Johnston, Eric Johnston, Liberty Johnston and Grace Johnston.

Her husband, Donald L. Johnston of 50 years, preceded her in death on April 28, 2007.  She also was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert and Scott Osborne, her sister Helene Beil and two grandchildren Derrick and Daniel Johnston.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Pastor John Dobritch officiating.  Cremation will follow and Donna will be laid to rest next to her husband.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
