Bonnie Jean (Bailey) Hays

Bonnie Jean Hays, Williams Road, Cochranton (Greenwood Twp.) passed away at 9:38 pm on Monday, September 28, 2015 from complication from a fractured leg while recovering at the Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  She was 70.

Bonnie was born in Geneva, on May 4, 1945 a daughter of the late William and Marianna (Corll) Bailey.  On February 13, 1965 she married David Hays who survives.  Along with her husband she was co-owner and administrator of the former Village Disposal of Cochranton.  She attended the Faith United Methodist Church, Geneva, she enjoyed country music, watching “Dancing with the Stars” and “Days of our Lives’.  She enjoyed travelling, camping and dining out with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage she is survived by 3 brothers, Raymond (Edna) Bailey, Geneva, Donald (Sharon) Bailey of Geneva and Charles Bailey of Cochranton. 2 sister in laws; Hilda Bailey of Meadville and Dorothy Bailey of Cochranton.  Her husband’s siblings, Howard (Libby) Woodcock, Meadville,  John (Cathy) hays, Atlantic, Leora “Katy” Aikens, Cochranton, Joyce Hays, Meadville, Robert (Marie) Hays, Atlantic, Richard Hays, Illinois, June Hays, Atlantic and June Hays of Meadville.  6 special nieces and nephews, Carl  (Debbie) Hart of Florida, Rick (Brenda) Irwin of Cochranton, Cheryl Landfriend and her fiancée Roger Richter of Cochranton, Dan (Cindy) Jones of Fredonia, Danny Bailey of Cochranton and Ramie (April) Bailey of Geneva.  Many additional nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Christine Rogan, pastor of the Faith United Methodist Church officiating.  The committal service and interment will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery, Atlantic.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm  time of service and are invited to share memories and condolences online at www.snyderfh.com.
