Bertram E. Stuck

Bertram E. “Bert” Stuck, of Fredonia Road, Greenville, passed away at his residence Friday, May 5th, 2017. He was 85.

He was born on October 14, 1931 in Verona, PA to the late William and Sarah (Yourd) Stuck. On January 8, 1951 Bert married Emma (Snyder). They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past year.

Bert worked for the Mercer Pipe division of Saw Hill, Sharon, for 38 years, from which he retired. He was the Vice President of his Union Local 1016. He also owned two businesses with his wife, The Dairy Doodle Restaurant and food trailer for the local auctioneers and the Covered Bridge Auto Salon in Transfer.

Bert was well known by his friends and acquaintances for his great sense of humor. He always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face. His children and grandchildren were the love of his life. Even through all the illness, when he would get a call or one would come to see him he was cheerful. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter Terri Hernandez and her husband Thomas, of Florida. Nine grandchildren, Jenny Lynn Gutis, Rebecca Greenwood and husband Wade, Teressa Granger and husband Jeff, Douglas Stuck II and wife Linda, Tim Ault and wife Jamie, Dean Ault and wife Maladie, Terra Gaffga and husband Scott, and Taylor Hernandez. 13 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Two nephews, Danny Bear and Robert Bradford, and one niece, Penny.

He was preceded in death by three children, Linda, Douglas and Vickie, and a grandson, David Fedorczyk. Two sisters, Betty Bradford and Margaret Bear, one brother, Edward Stuck, and a nephew, William Bradford.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 169 Second St. Fredonia, PA, 16124, with Pastor Todd Jaussen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8 pm and Sunday 1-2 pm. Interment will be at Millbank Cemetery.
