Arnolee (Stalnaker) Scherer

Arnolee Scherer, a resident of the Villa’s at the St. Paul’s Home, formerly of Conneaut Lake Road (Hempfield Twp.) passed away at 5:50 am on Monday, January 25, 2015.  She was 88.

Arnolee was born in Hardman, WV on September 25, 1927 a daughter of the late Howard C. “Crate” and Floretta Gay (Knotts) Stalnaker.  She had been married to Henry J. Scherer who preceded her in death on September 1, 2009.  She was a hair stylist and had formerly owned the French Beauty Shop, in Greenville for over 30 years after which she continued to operate her business out of her home until her retirement.  She was a member of the Greenville Alliance Church.

She is survived by a brother Keith Stalnaker of Camden, W.V. a sister in law, Judy Stalnaker of WV, a niece, Patricia Rexroad and her husband Robert of Weston, WV and her very special and dear friend who whad been  Arnolee’s caregiver for 25 years, Martha Byler of Atlantic.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Greenville Alliance Church, 63 Conneaut Lake Road, Greenville with Rev. Nathan Seckinger, Senior pastor of the church officiating.   The interment will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery,   Arrangements are have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L.
