Alvin D. Yoder

Alvin D. Yoder, a resident of the Crawford County Care Center, formerly of Conneautville passed away at 8:45 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Crawford County Care Center. He was 73.

He was born in Meadville, on May 17, 1942 a son of the late David and Mattie (Miller) Yoder.  He was married to the former Carol Ann Weir who preceded him in death on May 5, 1997.    He was a farmer and had worked for Miscelli Fruit Market, Meadville for many years.

 He is survived by a brother, Wallace Yoder of Meadville and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 sisters; Ada Sommers, Amanda Eichorn and Sarah Yoder, 5 brothers; Aden Yoder, Phineas Yoder, Jake Yoder, David Yoder and Raymond Yoder.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 am for family and close friends at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 12981 Foust Road, Conneaut Lake, Pa with Russ Richardson, pastor of the church officiating.  Cremation has been selected as disposition with interment to follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.

The family has suggested that in lieu of flowers that memorial tributes may be made to the Samaritan’s Purse, P.O Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000
